One of the most wonderful things about traveling are the rare finds you come across along your journey. Recently I enjoyed a great weekend with my old college girlfriends for what we have coined as an annual " Big Chill" reunion and we spent our time in the quaint town of Cambria. After our morning walk along the boardwalk of breathtaking Moonstone Beach we showered and got all dolled up to spend a blissful afternoon in downtown Cambria. Here amongst some very charming shops and delightful restaurants we found a treasure trove at
The Garden Shed.
We were met with beautiful outdoor plantings and trees in full bloom
and a tuba...just in case.
Rustic tractors and garden furniture
"I love April and May when the wisteria is in bloom"
Birdhouses of every style, shape , and size.
Cactus and succulents that would fit right into any modern home or beach house
fun decorative objects that would just finish off the look of a coffee or console table
just the perfect piece to add a bit of whimsy to your interiors
vibrant color display of quilts and throws
and a must have wool flower scarf for the chilly fog that so often rolls into Cambria.
There were so many fun and interesting items I wanted to take home for my current design projects and I know I will be returning frequently to peruse what is new. After all Cambria is an easy jaunt from the City and a delightful eclectic place to spend the weekend.
