Red Cross Gala - "Table Scapes"

Coming up for air!
Spring was buzzing with activity and kept me away from my keyboard for awhile, but now I'm back.  This Spring we participated in a lot of exciting new events including the American Red Cross Gala table-scape design.
We were honored to be among the outstanding designers who expressed their vision of "Hope by Design" and created a tribute to the service the American Red Cross gives to the community.

Table setting-1

Lisa and Lynne from Bloomingdales at Stanford are always so generous with their beautiful table settings and we found the perfect dishes for the event.

Huge Chandelier-1

As we transformed the table tops others were busy giving sparkle to the Concourse Center.

setting-up 1

The night before the event Ruth, Ann, and I were busy taping the napkins to the plates.

Notice the "Red Cross" ...wink wink!

Table in progress-1

We are almost done and the Betta fish are in place.

I prayed they lived till morning, didn't jump out of their bowls and end up for dinner !

Table CenterPiece -1

The final touches on the day of; "take out" bowls with flowers and red chopsticks,  gleaming silver elephants, place cards that demonstrate the impact that the American Red Cross has had on the world.

After we finished our work it was great fun to see what others were doing and all the creative ways they incorporated the red cross n their design!

Have a look for yourself...
