Creating a space that is full of life requires personality and a touch of color. Recently while shopping for pieces to add to my wardrobe, I was drawn to the classic and clean look of navy. It got me thinking about how navy blue can provide an essence of class and comfort all at once, not only with clothes, but with interior design that transforms a house into a cozy home.
Navy blue is truly brilliant because of the varied ways it can be used in interior design, and its ability to pair well with so many other colors. Adding a pop of navy to a kitchen can create a soothing ambiance, or consider using it to convey a sense of drama in bedroom perfectly fit for a teenager.
Whether you want to add a dramatic effect with an accent wall, or a fun pop of color with vibrant throw pillows, the versatility of navy blue allows room for plenty of creativity.
Navy blue also lends itself to being mixed and matched with other strong colors. Reds and yellows can add a, “Wow!” statement and exciting vibe to a room, or consider creating a classic and clean calming effect by pairing navy blue with white or ivory.
Transitioning a space for the fall season begins with the heart, and of course, a little bit of color. This year, my seasonal pick is navy blue.
