The holidays are a time of joy and love for families around the world. Whether your family is preparing a turkey, ham or roast for your holiday feast, there are endless ideas for Thanksgiving decorating.
The Thanksgiving decorating duties can be somewhat overwhelming with all of the other details you’ll be taking care of in advance of celebrating with family and friends. As I look forward to welcoming my children back home, I think of the lessons I've learned and the wonderful joy it is to be surrounded by loved ones this time of year.
One lesson I learned about entertaining long ago was from a dear friend who would always set the table the day before a big event.
Setting the table the day before is so practical because after a day full of cooking with barely enough time to shower and change clothes before the guest arrive, decorating the table gets put on the back burner (no pun intended). It puts your mind at ease and it is fun to do ahead!
The time you save by planning ahead reduces stress and allows you to spend more time with your loved ones during this very special time of year. Happy decorating!
