In a fast-paced lifestyle, it can be easy to forget to take time and enjoy the little things. I recently visited the cozy seaside town of Carmel, where I lived for a year after graduating college. Carmel, is full of charm and unique touches that inspire.
Addresses don’t exist here, instead the homes are each given different names. I noticed a whimsical home that was named “Liv de Life” and featured a hand-painted sign. The sentiment of “Liv de Life” rings true in my work as an interior designer, where I express my passion by uniting design and life in a way that is functional and appealing. Perhaps painting an accent wall can create instant energy in a dull space or adding pillows with bold patterns to a muted sofa.
I hope that if you find yourself near Carmel-By-The- Sea, you take the time to stop by and appreciate the little things that make up this captivating town.
