I am so thrilled to announce that I have a new design project – My new office space in enchanting Carmel!
The space oozes Carmel charm, great architectural details such as wood ceiling beams, a lovely stone courtyard, hearth and exterior, and honey colored wooden floors. I really have to pinch myself. And I almost didn’t get it.
My home office was getting just a bit too tight to be efficient so I started exploring what rental options were in the Pacific Grove and Carmel area. Early on in my search I came across Stonehouse Cottage in Carmel. It was love at first sight. Out of my price range but love none the less. The heart wants what the heart wants. Classic Carmel – in a perfect neighborhood and with enough space for a small storefront.
I wasn’t the first in line and it went to someone else. So I kept looking, not really finding anything great. Much of what I was seeing included acoustical ceiling tile and ancient fluorescent lighting –not the sort of décor that makes the creative juices flow. I decided I would keep my home office with some restructuring. Not a perfect solution but a good Plan B until Plan A presented itself.
The real estate gods were smiling on me apparently as the first person dropped out of the running for the cottage and it was offered to me! I have quickly signed the lease and am just starting to make my design plans for the new space. I am so excited about this new venture. The buzz and energy of the town are perfect for this next phase of my business.
Look for more info soon as the space develops and we open for business!
