Though I have been working out of my Carmel office for some time, I’m thrilled to announce that my design office is now officially open! Recently, in conjunction with the Carmel Chamber of Commerce, I held my official ribbon cutting, inviting the community and fellow small business owners by for a glass of wine, music and some great cheese and appetizers (generously provided by Carmel Road Winery, il Grillo Restaurant and Nielson Bros. Market).
We had a great turn out and lovely weather, allowing us to take advantage of the back terrace.
I was so thrilled when I found the space. It was serendipitous that I got the space at all. I had looked at it but someone else snapped it up before I had a chance to throw my hat in the ring. Fortunately, the previous offer fell through and the space was offered to me.
As you can see in the photos, the architecture oozes Carmel-by-the-Sea charm and historic detailing. It features a lovely stone fireplace, wood flooring and ceiling beams, adobe style walls, a rear tiled patio and plenty of windows to let in the light.
I spent the better part of the year decorating the space, taking my time so I could find the perfect touches. As I would work on client projects, I would find new materials that I found worked perfectly in the rooms. Even picking the sign was a creative undertaking.
I love going to work and find my client's love meeting there too. It is just so cozy. I know this space will provide lots of inspiration.
The office is located on Mission in Stone House Court, Cottage 1. Stop by for a visit!
